Washington, DC—January 18, 2017—Spoke, a boutique agency based in downtown DC, starts the new year with a significant addition to its team.
Minneapolis-based designer and creative consultant Vincent Wanga joins Spoke as Partner and Creative Director starting in January. Wanga brings over a decade of creative and design expertise to the formerly strategy-heavy agency in an ongoing effort to expand their offerings.
“We see creative and design as a priority in all of our work going forward. This is where the consulting market is moving,” noted Spoke’s CEO, Sam C. Bays. “Strategy alone is no longer effective. It must look beautiful and function intuitively. Design is imperative to the process.”
Formerly Principal of a successful independent studio, Wanga has served an impressive book of businesses that includes Fortune 500 companies, international nonprofits, and startups. His areas of expertise include branding, identity design, web design, and art direction. Wanga’s creative contributions are already on display with the recent launch of Spoke’s new agency website and expanded offerings at www.spoke.co.
Wanga and Bays originally collaborated as independent consultants for McBee Strategic, a DC-based lobbying and PR shop. The two reconnected after Bays launched Spoke in 2014 and asked Wanga to contribute his design expertise in a freelance capacity.
“We’ve been very lucky to collaborate with Vince on client projects for over two years,” Bays said. “Bringing him on as Partner was a no-brainer. Beyond his contributions to our creative services, Vince shares our company values and a vision for Spoke’s growth.”
